Nikki’s Top 5 Drugstore Picks
Good morning
and happy Wednesday to my fellow makeup enthusiasts! Welcome to another blog
post on my Top 5 picks in beauty. I feel lately I have been talking about a lot
of high end products and using a lot of high end products and so, for this week
post I decided to talk about all things drugstore.
I love
drugstore makeup; I mean who doesn’t! It is more affordable and accessible. I found
it extremely hard to narrow it down to just my Top 5 as the drugstore does have
some amazing products in it, that are highly comparable to higher end brands,
if not better. Here are my Top 5 Dugstore picks that are my ride or die at this
moment in time.
Australis Fresh and Flawless
This powder is a life saver if you have
oily skin... thank me later. I use the shade natural however, the powder comes
in 6 different shades. This is better than so many higher end powders I have
tried and is often compared to the MAC powders however, in my opinion is it
better. This is my go to holy grail powder.
Elf Studio Baked Highlighter
This $7 highlighter from Kmart shocked
me. The shade moonlight pearl is stunning and highly comparable to my moonstone
highlighter from Becca which retails for $64. My advice is if you are looking
for an affordable and blinding highlight look no further than the elf baked
highlighters.
L’Oréal Infallible Matte 24HR
Foundation
Again, I am in the lightest shade right
now which is "Vanilla" however, in summer I can bump it up a few
shades. This foundation is longwearing, full coverage and simply perfect for my
combination skin. I notice my T-Zone remains less oily throughout the day. My
favourite drugstore foundation to date and probably in my top 3 foundation
picks.
Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid
Although this is not your typical
extreme long wearing liquid lipstick it is a good happy medium. I enjoy these because they are extremely wearable as they are not too drying but also are not
sticky like a gloss. If you love a matte lip but are over your lips drying up
maybe give these a try. I currently own these in 5 shades and do not regret a
thing.
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer
If you are
pale like me and struggle to find a bronzer that does not make you look orange
than look no further as this bronzer is for you. This bronzer simply melts into
your skin and the coconut scent makes you feel like you are on a tropical
vacation all year around. This bronzer is available in Priceline however, is
extremely popular so grab it if you see it.
I love, love,
love my drugstore products and am always on the hunt for a new favourite to add
to my collection, so If you are aware of any products that you think I desperately
